Fabrizio named president of technology group
The Consumer Technology Association announced Kinsey Fabrizio has been named president. Gary Shapiro will remain CEO of CTA.
"This decision, supported unanimously by our board, resulted from years of careful succession planning and mentoring. Kinsey's hard work, successes, get-it-done and positive attitude propelled her to president,” said Pat Lavelle, chairman of the CTA Compensation Committee and CTA industry executive advisor.
Fabrizio joined CTA in 2008 and has since held titles including vice president of member engagement, vice president of membership and senior vice president of CES and membership.
She has bachelor’s degrees in government and international politics and Spanish and a master’s degree in business administration from George Mason University.
Dunn to lead pesticides group
CropLife America has named Alexandra Dunn president and CEO of the organization. Chris Novak, former president and CEO, left the organization last October.
“As CLA members continue to innovate to address challenges faced by growers, health officials, and consumers, Alex’s experience will provide guidance and leadership in both the policy and regulatory spaces. We look forward to working with her as she steps into this role,” said Andy Lee, chairman of the board and president and CEO of Valent North America.
Dunn was most recently a partner in the environmental, safety and incident response group at international law firm Baker Botts, L.L.P. She was also assistant administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention from 2019 to 2021.
She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from James Madison University and a law degree from The Catholic University of America.

Boehm to take the helm at automobile group
The American Automobile Association(AAA) announced Gene Boehm will succeed Marshall Doney as president and CEO, effective April 1. Doney has been with the organization for 40 years and has led since 2015.
“Gene embodies the spirit of collaboration and inclusivity,” said Paula Collins, AAA Board of Directors chair and member of the selection committee. “He brings new strategic perspective, high energy, and a passion for AAA’s mission that will allow us to deliver the highest quality service to our members and remain one of the most trusted brands in America.”
Boehm joined AAA in 2017 as vice president of strategy and direct operations before being promoted to senior vice president in the office of sustainability, strategy and direct sales. Prior to joining AAA, he was a director at PwC and Allstate Insurance.
He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Illinois State University.

American Dental Association—Mike Graham is set to retire from his role as senior vice president of government and public affairs at ADA after nearly 30 years with the group.
Associated Builders and Contractors—Peter Comstock has left his role as senior director of legislative affairs at ABC, where he spent six years. He has joined Autos Drive America as senior director of government affairs.
Bank Policy Institute—Ed Hill is leaving BPI following three years as senior vice president and head of government affairs. He is joining lobbying firm Forbes Tate Partners as a partner in its government relations practice.

Aerospace Industries Association—David Hyde has returned to AIA as senior director of sustainability. He was previously the autonomous systems lead for aviation and robotics at the World Economic Forum.
Alliance for Automotive Innovation—Sarah Puro has joined AAI as vice president of safety and technology policy. They were most recently a senior adviser to National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy.
American Chemical Society—C.M. Tokë Vandervoort will succeed Flint Lewis as general counsel of ACS, effective April 1. Flint has spent 30 years with the group. Vandervoort will join ACS from the Environmental Defense Fund, where she has been chief legal officer and corporate secretary for the past three years. Previously, she was senior vice president and deputy general counsel for Under Armour.
Blockchain Association—The Blockchain Association recently promoted two of its staff members.
Sarah Milby is now head of policy. She joined the organization in 2020 as policy manager and was since promoted to senior policy director.
Marisa Coppel is now the group’s head of legal. She joined in 2022 as policy counsel before being named senior counsel. Previously, she was an associate at law firm Covington & Burling LLP.
Healthcare Leadership Council—Katie Mahoney has joined the HLC as executive vice president and chief policy officer. She has spent the past 13 years at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, most recently as vice president of health policy.
National Electrical Contractors Association—James Payne has joined NECA as director of government affairs. He was most recently a legislative aide to Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.).
Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association—Kevin Carson is joining SIFMA’s federal advocacy team as managing director and associate general counsel. Carson was most recently chief counsel in the SEC Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs.
